Easter 2009

Last Easter we went to a local garden center who puts on a great Egg Hunt. Ethan had a great time eating the candy that Josh and I found for him. He was a bit too consumed by eating the candy to find them!

We also had dinner at Ms. Nancy and Mr. Ken's house. For that, I made an Easter Bunny Cake. We were able to use some of Ethan's haul of candy for the cake. Here we are picking out all the dark jelly beans for eyes and such.

I was fortunate enough to find some old cut out cake directions to build this bunny.

This is the finished cake, covered in white, pink and blue coconut flake. Ain't he sweet??

Ms. Nancy put together another Easter Egg hunt at the house. Gabby was a "big sister" for Ethan and helped him find as many eggs as possible!

The feast was awesome and we had a great time bonding with our friends afterward. These are a few of my attempts to photograph the boy pile on the couch with Mr. Ken and Mr. Dustin (aka Brains...a story for another time).

Then, it was time to feast on the Bunny...Josh had a great idea all the adults (and older boys) loved!

Red Velvet innards for the Bunny!

The girls weren't impressed. I don't remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure they passed on the Bunny Cake.
