Boot Family

The Boot Family needs our help! Our friends and neighbors, Bob and Misty Boot, are going through some tough times right now. After our camping trip to Fruita, Bob was checked into the hospital and stayed for 2 weeks. He lost 30-40lbs in a matter of weeks all somehow related to a "flare-up" of his Ulcerative Colitis. His medical care wasn't the best in those two weeks but was sent home because he seemed "better". However, after a week at home, he was taken back and that is where he still is now. They aren't sure when he will be coming home let alone going back to work.

Misty is a stay at home mom, taking care of their two kids, Dylan and Lauren, spending loads of time researching Bob's care and spending as much time as she can with him during the day. As if that wasn't enough, early this week, Dylan broke is leg skateboarding.

So, as a friends and neighbors, we've decided to start collecting money for their household bills so they don't have to worry so much about Bob being off of work. I'm sure there are things they can do as far as disability and the ever famous AFLAC (quack!) (if it was avail. to him) but that just doesn't cut it for a family. Thankfully, Misty's parents have been here to help care for the kids while Misty is out caring for Bob.

I know many of you don't know them but they are truly wonderful, shirt-off-their-backs kind of people. Josh and I have come to think of them as family. Even just a small donation will help to pay the mortgage, power, etc. Please consider making a donation today. Thanks,

Katie
