Wow, it's been awhile

Well, here we are what, 3 months later?

A lot has changed for our family in the last three months.  Namely, Uncle Andrew (Josh's youngest brother) has come to live with us.  It is taking some adjusting for him - life in the city, life with a 4 year old, life surrounded by "older" married couples, life with out the Great Outdoors right out the back door - on and on goes the list but he is doing TREMENDOUSLY considering! We all love having him here and hope he loves being here.

He as introduced Josh and Dustin (another of our Burberry Way Family) to rock climbing.  Josh is in love.......

Josh has gone back to work at the same job he had last year with one change.  Last year, he worked for a Temp Agency who placed him with Penthall.  This year, he is working directly for Penthall.  Andrew and one of our Burberry Way Family, Cory also got a job with Josh.  It's kind of funny to watch all the guys pile out of Josh's tiny, two door, blue Ford Focus hatchback after the commute home....you can almost hear the clown music...

A few weeks ago I found out I am pregnant! (I am 6 weeks and 1 day along) We only tried for a few months so I'm sure Josh is bummed because of that :) We are so excited and looking forward to moving forward with our family.  As I've said to several people, there is NO perfect time for a baby and we will figure it all out, we always do.  I am 1 of 3 of my 8 siblings expecting a baby in the next year.  Kind of crazy.

My little sister, Elizabeth is expecting twin boys in August and after explaining that to Ethan he has decided I am carrying twins.  A "brudder and a sister" and he's always saying "babies" not baby.
The freakish part of me is hoping that is true cause how cool would that be to carry twins, right? The sane part of my says, "Are you crazy!?".  I am hoping for a girl cause this might be my last shot at a baby....Josh says we're done at two.  We'll see..... Here's my little sis...ain't she cute?

Baby number two is due in early January, 2011.  We will be finding out the gender this time.  In fact, a friend has offered to throw a kind of party for when we find out.  Here's how it works:  we have the Doctor write the gender on a piece of paper and seal it up with out telling us.  Said paper is delivered to Amanda (our neighborhood Ace of Cakes) and she makes a cake.  Blue for a boy, pink for a girl.  So, we find out surrounded by our friends when we cut into the cake.  Kinda cute, huh?

I am also once again a Stay at Home Mom.  YEA!!! Because Andrew has moved in, is paying rent, and Josh is working I am able to stay at home again.  This is going to help our family in so many ways.  I'll be here to take care of myself while I'm pregnant, Ethan and the house.  So in turn, Josh can focus on working, and sleeping.  The biggest thing is Josh will be able to devote several hours of uninterrupted time each day to searching for and applying for his next "real" job.  Believe you me, I'll make sure he's doing it too!

I almost forgot! Ethan has been learning how to ride his bike!

So, that's where our little family is at now.  Our best to you all.  Oh, and our first camping trip of the season is two weeks away.  Yea!!

Glad things are "looking up", Katie. It truly all works out in the end, and usually we are better for it.
